6 Ways to Welcome a New Neighbor
4. Invite to some event of mutual interest
A good way to make them feel at ease as well as get to know their neighborhood and their other neighbors in a better way is by inviting them to a local event. It could be Bingo night, free entry to the local lounge or pub, a sports match or a musical gig.
5. Stop by or call to see if anything is needed at the grocery store
People moving into a new neighborhood are mostly lost and have no clue about the best places to shop at. They are also so caught up in the shifting transition that they fail to remove time out to do basic things like grocery shopping. Drop by at their house while going to the local supermarket or mall and offer to bring the stuff which they may need.
6. Introduce them to someone else
You should not come off as a nosey neighbor who is the only one interested in welcoming them. Although your intentions are good, they will be better projected if you introduce them to another set of your neighbors. This way they will feel happy in knowing that people are genuinely interested in their well being and look forward to their friendship.
