6 Ways to Resist the Urge to Splurge
4. Don’t pass through sales and shops
When you plan to meet your gal pals, keep shopping sprees way below the list of things you all can do. Also, if your route to work or college requires you to pass through glitzy stores displaying fancy stuff on mannequins and store windows, then do yourself and your bank account a favor by choosing another route that isn’t fled with shops perpetually on sales.
5. Count the clothes you have
Shopaholic women, better count the number of clothes you have before blindly buying new ones simply because they are on sale. When you realize just how many clothes, accessories and shoes you have and realize that it’s too much for one person, you will not feel like hoarding more stuff.
6. Visit supermarkets instead of malls
Malls tend to make people overspend, especially on things that they don’t really need. People get taken in by the colorful, attractive, posh and inviting goodies on display and become victims of high scale consumerism and advertising. It’s better to make a list of what you really need, pay a visit to the supermarket or local grocery store and buy only those items.
