6 Ways to Manage Yourself without Friends
4. All the time for yourself
Without any friends calling you up in the middle of the night to ask for help or to have a long chat because they can’t sleep, you’ll have all your time to yourself. Maintain regular sleeping hours, listen to music, watch movies, go for long walks, reflect on nature as you go along, and think about your life. This phase of loneliness may help you understand yourself better, if nothing else, grant you some peace.
5. Interact through the internet
You may be able to stay in touch with old friends, if you so desire, through the internet. Otherwise, you can blog or twitter or email some people about whatever you choose to, but internet grants you that space in which you can be social and yet stay away from the crowd.
6. Keep a pet
People often keep a pet– a dog or a cat– for company. Pets are lovable and quite undemanding. Of course, you have to wash and clean them, feed them and take them to the vet when required, but they’ll let you cuddle them and talk to them without complaining.
