6 Tips to Prevent Discoloration of Lips

1. Exfoliate your lips
You do it for your face, so why not for your lips. Regular exfoliation of lips helps to remove the dead cells from the skin. Mix a part of oatmeal and honey to exfoliate your lips. Apply the mixture on your lips and keep it for a while, then gently scrub it off. Exfoliating helps to prevent discoloration of lips and lightens the skin.
2. Apply a lip balm with SPF
It is advisable to apply a lip balm with SPF of more than 30, while going out in sun. This will help to prevent your lips from harmful sun exposure. Choose a suitable lip balm according to your skin sensitivity.
3. Maintain a healthy diet
It all starts with the right diet. One can prevent discoloring of lips by having a balanced diet plan. Include good amount of liquids for hydration. Have fresh veggies and fruits, at least two portions in a day. Avoid excessive intake of caffeine and tea.
