6 Tips to Become an Effective Leader at Your Workplace
4. Practice before you preach
You come late but you can’t tolerate others who do. That is not fair to your employees or team mates. As a leader you are expected to set an example of a strong work ethic and discipline in the functioning of your organization.
5. Know your team mates and employees
It is certainly advised that you maintain a professional relationship with members in your organization. However, you should also treat them with respect. Know their birthdays and other special occasions. Make sure everyone is happy; if someone is down, you should cheer them up. Be sensitive towards their illnesses and problems and provide them with the required assistance.
6. Don’t take all the credit
Even if you are appreciated for your efforts, you need to make sure that all the individuals involved in the task are recognized and acknowledged for their efforts. Giving due credit is the spirit of a true leader.
