6 Tips for planning a Family Beach Trip
4. Carry food with you
Planning what food you will carry with you is an important aspect of planning a beach trip, especially if your kids are traveling with you. Spending time at a beach can become memorable when you have good food and drinks as accompaniments. You may find food and beverages on your way to the beach or at various cafes on the way, but enjoying homemade sandwiches and pies will make your beach trip more fun.
5. Make sure you have beach gear
No beach trip is complete without beach gear. Make sure you have all your beach gear before you commence your trip. This includes sunscreen, sunglasses, beach mats, towels, swimwear, sarongs, insect repellents, first aid kits, camera, flip flops, food basket, tote bags and a change of clothes. Many beaches also allow you to rent gear but that might prove to be expensive.
6. Make bookings in advance
If you are planning to visit a beach destination where you need to fly or stay a couple of nights, it is advisable to make prior bookings. Hotels and motels are likely to be booked out during peak seasons at beaches. There is no point in messing up your trip just because you didn’t get a place to stay. Bookings mainly include flight tickets and hotels. If you are planning to visit areas nearby the beach, you should book accordingly.
