6 Things to Do When You Don’t Like Your Best Friend’s Boyfriend
4. Find out about him
Beside knowing him well enough through your friend and talking to him, do your own bit of research about this guy as well. Akin to Nancy Drew, find out through his friends, Facebook profile, etc., more information about his life. What he does, his past, how he lives and where, among other such things. However, make sure you do so in the most discreet way possible for if you come across as a snooping detective, your friend would get mad at you and tell you to back off, even though you may be doing something for her own good.
5. Try to be as normal as possible
If you have done everything possible to find proof against this guy and end up feeling like your friend may have in fact been right all along, then the only thing you can do is try to behave as normal with them as possible. Come on girl, it’s not that hard putting on an act of having fun with them.
6. Always be there for her
No matter what, stand by her. Don’t tell her that irritating line which goes, “I told you so!” when her guy does something that makes your friend upset. Even though you may be against her choice, don’t be against her as you are her friend and not her parent. How much ever close you may be, at the end of the day you can’t protect her and dictate her life; you can only be a supportive pal.
