6 Nice Activities for Thanksgiving
4. Swapping stories
If you have elders in the family or have visiting grandparents, then this could be a great time to bond with them and listen to the stories they have to tell. The elders in the family are almost always a treasure trove of stories and this will be a great chance for the kids to catch up on history and the entirely different lives of the old people.
5. Board games
There is something about board games that they never go out of fashion. Even with the onslaught of TV and video games, board games are still popular and what better way could there be for everyone to sit together on the floor and have fun. Elaborate puzzles are a wonderful choice as it involves a lot of thinking and a lot of teamwork to get them completed. If it is really difficult, then it can go on and on.
6. Picnic
Pack up a picnic basket, fill it up with goodies and pick a spot that involves less driving and more importantly less traffic. You wouldn’t want to mess up your holiday spirit navigating the traffic. Even your local park could be a great spot if it had lots of open space and a basketball court.
Thanksgiving could be just the right time to catch up on all the lost moments with people you care. The important thing is that you are relaxed on the day. So choose an activity that does not involve going out or driving for long periods of time.
