6 Signs You Are Neglecting Your Children
4. Being late for school and frequent absence
Your child is more often than not late for school and is frequently absent. He/she does not like going to school-he/she simply does not have the energy or the enthusiasm to do something during the day. If you receive many complaints about him/her being inattentive, late, disinterested and so on from his/her school, you may be neglecting your child.
5. Bad hygiene
The signs of bad hygiene include body odor, an overall unkempt look, bad breath, untidy clothes and so on. One look at your child and anyone can guess that he/she is not being taken well care of. If such is the case, note that your child is being neglected. Ensure his/her bath timings- that he/she has a proper bath every day, comb his/her hair neatly, brush teeth twice daily and teach him/her necessary grooming practices like cutting nails and so on.
6. Inadequate physical growth
Your child does not look his/her age. This, again, is due to malnourishment, intake of inadequate food and lack of proper eating habits. If your child looks smaller than his/her age, you may be neglecting him/her.
Apart from the above signs, if you find that your child is engaging in stealth of food and money, you must know for sure that he/she needs more care and love than he/she is currently receiving. Remember that your children are one of the greatest gifts in your life but so are you in their lives. So like a true parent/guardian, take every possible care to ensure their proper mental and physical growth.
