If you have a friend who blackmails you emotionally whenever you do not listen to him/her or disagree over something or decline his/her plans, remember that he/she is toxic and will ruin your happiness. A true friend will never blackmail you; in fact, you will hardly ever enter into any sort of disagreement with a true friend.
5. He/she takes you for granted
Your friend takes you for granted and never considers the fact that you may have an opinion about something. If he/she makes a plan he/she expects that you will follow it because you are his/her friend; and if you decline, again he/she resorts to emotional blackmail. A true friend will never take you for granted and will always value and respect your opinion.
6. He/she is overly-friendly and compassionate
Another tell-tale sign of a toxic friend is that he she is overly-friendly with you – in fact he/she goes out of his/her way to help you even when you have not asked for it. Remember that it is a trap and the toxic person does it to bind you in a kind of obligation so that you listen to everything he/she says in future when he/she will remind you of the things he/she has done for you.
A toxic friend is never life-enriching. They come into your life and stay as parasites and pull out all the love, joy and fun that you have. Therefore, if you spot any of these signs in any your friends, be wary, and dump them if you find that they are toxic.
