It may begin as a very casual comparison but will become a lot more prominent and eventually the man may even try to seek sympathy of his pitiful state. Finally, he may come up with reasons why he finds you the most attractive woman in his life.

This is another important contributing reason. When a married man shares personal issues and/or problems with you and seeking solace in your presence; he is laying a foundation for a special relationship. While it may be difficult not to help someone in distress, the tables could turn on you if it becomes a little too frequent.
