6 Reasons Why You Should not Send Your Child to a Boarding School
4. You may be away from your child in the hour of need
Sending your child away always comes with the worry of him/her falling ill. The food at the hostel, illness of some other student or any other thing may cause your child to attract an illness. At such times, your child may need you the most. After all, the school infirmary can never substitute a caring mother sitting by the bedside and looking after her child round the clock.
5. Your child may not find isolation
Your child may be of the kind that prefers to spend more alone time and is probably more comfortable studying by himself/herself in a peaceful environment. Such a thing is not possible in a boarding school. Your child may not find the sufficient isolation required for concentrating on studies and this would show in his/her report cards.
6. Your child may become snobbish
Boarding school educated children are often given the tag of a “snob”, and rightly so as often we find children coming back as stuck-up haughty prince or princesses from their boarding schools. If you want your child to grow up as a humble person, then he/she is best suited at his/her home.
