6 Reasons Teenagers Love Twilight
4. The characters have typical teenage behaviors
And that’s in spite of them being blood sucking Draculas’ and wolves. There is the constant teenage angst, the rebellion, the unrequited love, jealousy and all the insecurities that come with being a teen. What better way to make your readers relate to the book than having characters who mirror them?
5. Good versus Evil
And how good eventually prevails over the evil and how love plays an important part in it. Forget teenagers but who doesn’t love a good versus bad movie when the good eventually prevails.
6. Suicidal tendencies of Bella
Whatever reasons Bella thinks of suicide or self-harm, this is something that every teenager has thought of at least once in their lives. A scary thought for every parent looking at the suicidal undercurrents running through the entire series, but teenagers seem to soak it up all.
Whip up the media frenzy over the movie and create a parallel real life story with the lead actors and teenagers get addicted to the drama by following every move of the actors and hating them and loving them in turns. Like mentioned earlier, there is no telling why teenagers love twilight in spite of the book having no literary value and the movie filled with bad acting. A good guess would be it being a potpourri of every teenage emotions exaggerated in words and on screen.
