6 Reasons It’s a Date not an Interview
Question: What is the difference between a date and an interview?
Answer: Everything.
But alas, many treat a date like an interview, shooting off rapid fire questions in a bid to know everything about the other person or hoping the other person would answer to their satisfaction all the questions posed to them. A date is not a job interview where you choose the candidate with the right qualifications to get a job done. Going the wrong way about a date is the main reason why many come back from a date with bitter experiences.
1. A date is all about romance
True. You go out on a date hoping to find someone to spend time with, have a good time and hopefully if all goes well, see them for a long time to come. So take it slow. Add a bit of romance.
2. You are not applying for a post
So leave the questionnaire behind. Do not question, but talk. A decent conversation is a sure icebreaker in awkward situations.
3. Prepare to be comfortable
The whole idea behind a date is to feel good and make it personal. Looking good and presentable make you comfortable in your own skin. So prepare yourself to be as comfortable as you could be.
