6 Occasions When The No Contact Rule Applies
4. When you are affecting your ex’s present relationship
If you and your ex could not work things out together, you have no right to destroy something that could probably turn into a fruitful relationship for your ex. It is very natural for a girlfriend to feel insecure about her boyfriend keeping in touch with his ex. So if your contact with your ex-boyfriend is endangering his relationship it is advisable that the two of you don’t keep in touch for a while.
5. When you quit your job
This rule applies if you have quit your job against the will of your boss. Keeping in touch with your boss after this and informing him about the progress you do in your career is a very bad idea. As you have quit his company against his will, there is a high possibility that he will wait for you to fail in your career. Hence, it is better that you don’t keep him updated about the happenings in your life for a while.
6. When you really hurt your friend
Knowingly or unknowingly, as human as we are, we all make mistakes. If you have committed this mistake of hurting your friend and you know that he or she is super mad at you, you need to deal with it in the right manner. If things are really heated up, you showering them with attention could be a wrong move. Hence, it is better to let things be and disappear for a while. This will make them miss you and in time things could get sorted out. However, before you do your disappearing act, also inform them that you are sorry and going to take off for a while because you are feeling really guilty.
