As much as a vegetarian diet is good, having meat in your food is also important. Instead of going for a fat slab of steak, you can go for lean meat in beef, mutton and pork. This is a good source of protein and also gives you much strength. Cook it well instead of eating it raw as almost raw meat can make you sick and also make you fat.

Fish is a good source of omega three fatty acids as well as protein. Chicken is also a great choice as long as it is not deep fried. Have at least three eggs a week to get a lot of calcium and protein in your system.
