6 Characteristics of Introverts
4. They avoid social gatherings
Those who are introverts do not like to get out in public for too long and too frequently. They like parties and picnics once in a while, but recurrent outings and get-togethers every weekend are a strict no- no. They do not like to be surrounded by a lot of people for too long and therefore tend to avoid social gatherings even if it involves relatives and friends.
5. They love solitary activities
They are more interested in doing things where they need to be alone – reading books, writing, painting and so on. They would be more interested in gatherings where a selected few would be present: very close friends and relatives only. Even if they find one extra person they are not comfortable with, they tend to find excuses not to attend them.
6. They do not share their feelings
Introverts seldom speak their mind. They are very careful with what they say to another person and even if it someone very close, they are least likely to share their feelings candidly. In fact, even after much coaxing and cajoling, they would not be comfortable to talk about their feelings with anybody else.
The problem with being an introvert is that they are a minority in this extrovert-dominated world which might make them feel like outcasts. However, the truth is that it is the introverts who make the best musicians, scientists, writers, film directors and philosophers and it is without them that the world would become weird, not the contrary.
