5 Ways to Exit a Relationship When You don’t Have a Solid Reason to Continue
4. Start distancing yourself over time
You start to sense the futility of being in a relationship which has become sort of redundant from a period of time before you actually get pushed to the wall to make a decision of do or die. When you start sensing this, make an effort to spice up the relation and make things work. But if you have realized he is just not the one for you even after your efforts, then start to distance yourself from him. Don’t meet him as much as before, take up more work to fill your time so that you can avoid answering his texts and calls as instantly as you used to.
5. Discuss with him about the small reasons which have forced you to quit
As a conscientious human being, it is not right to leave someone hanging and not let them know why you are deciding on leaving them. If the person hasn’t done anything bad to you as such and there is no one solid deal breaker you have against him which will make him understand why you left, then let him know the small things which irritate you and have forced you to end this relation. More often than not, these things can’t be worked on any longer and your ex will accept them and cede to your request to terminate the relation.
