5 Tips to Cope With Clumsiness During Pregnancy
Pregnancy is a life-changing experience for a woman. It is a beautiful phase, but at the same time, it causes a lot of discomfort to the pregnant woman. Nausea, Morning sickness, weight gain, varicose veins, mood swings are just some of the discomforts that women face during pregnancy. Another major problem is clumsiness. Here are some tips to help you cope with annoying clumsiness that may be interfering with the joys of your pregnancy:
1. Plan things in advance
As it is, pregnancy is difficult, both physically and emotionally. With that bulging belly and aching back, you may find yourself bumping into things often. The emotional turbulence because of hormonal changes further adds to your problems and makes you clumsier. So to cope up with all this, it’s better to sit down every night and plan your next day. When you know what you are supposed to do and when, the chances of confusion and clumsiness decrease. Planning will help you battle your clumsiness.
2. Take your time
Accept that you cannot be as fast as you were before pregnancy. The physical changes will get into your way of completing things and tasks. Accept this fact and take your time to do things at a comfortable pace. When you are in rush, you’ll end up being more clumsy and messy. Hence, try being more laid back and relaxed.
3. Wear comfortable footwear
It’s better and safer for you to wear comfortable flat footwear with a good grip. Bad fitting footwear or a high heel fancy sandal can add to your problems of clumsiness. Additionally, they may pose a health risk to you and your baby, because you may fall down if you are not careful enough.
