1. Learn everyday
“One of the first and foremost steps to accelerate your career growth is to start learning more about your job and your work area on a daily basis. You’d be surprised to know how many people out there don’t know the ins and outs of their job and their actual role in the company they work in. The ones who make it at the top are those who have the knowledge and will to keep going on massive learning sprees”, says Jonathon. Yes, we have to agree with him on this one because we all hate people who don’t know what they’re doing, don’t we? Don’t let this happen to you and make sure you learn something new about your job every single day.
2. Develop a strong network
The people that you know, the contacts that you make and the relationships that you build at work are going to play a vital role in helping you to progress in your career. “I often see that people who network well are able to move up the hierarchy easier than those who don’t. It’s all about building contacts and developing a strong reputation with the people you deal with on a daily basis. It could be your manager, subordinates, clients or customers”, mentions Jonathon. 3. A degree is much more than a piece of paper
For those of you who can’t further in their careers simply because you lack a certain degree or qualification, it is never too late to start. “Any degree or qualification that is relevant to your career is like a stepping stone for you to move up.
