Do you know what I would do if I had millions of dollars to blow away? I’d just be hopping from one beach of the world to the other. If you’re a beach bum like me and you love to laze around with your sunhat and flip flops on white sand, let me take you with me on a beach escapade. Here are 5 of the best beach destinations in the world that will blow you away.
1. Wakiki Beach, Hawaii

How can we talk about beaches without mentioning Hawaii in any respect? At a close proximity to Honolulu, on the south shore of the island of Oahu, Waikiki Beach is known best for its magnificent view of Diamond Head area. Lined with high rise hotels and an abundance of great night partying, Wakiki still scores very well on the entertainment meter too. The palm trees and the warm white sand will lull you to complete joy and calm. Did you know that this beach was a favorite of the Hawaiian royalty in the 1800s? I think that’s really exotic. One of the best features of Wakiki beach that I love is their movie screening program called “Sunset on the Beach.” Imagine yourself sipping on a Daiquiri and watching a romantic comedy playing against the sunset. Goosebumps already?
2. Las Islas Cíes, Spain

Situated on the coastline of Spain and Portugal, this beautiful beach has turquoise waters and fewer people! Phew, what a relief. A 40 minute boat ride from the quaint little town of Baiona, this beach was once a pirates’ haunt, but now is attracting tourists from all over the world to come and savor its soft, pristine sand and crystal clear waters. It’s not just the beach that you can enjoy. The terrain also has tall pine trees which will give you a mixed feeling of being on the beach and in the mountains!

I’m pretty sure that you’ve seen these islands as the backdrop of so many movies and commercials that I probably don’t even need to tell you about it. Located very close to the popular island of Phuket, this beach is pure bliss. You’ll find yourself on triangular areas of the shore that are surrounded by sea on all three sides with no end in sight. Can you imagine that? Or if you’re in a boat, you’ll be passing tow humongous rock structures. You’re starry eyed already, aren’t you? Mind you there are no accommodation facilities on this island, so it’ll be a trip to and fro.
