4. Breathe deeply
Isolate yourself, close your eyes and breathe. Try to hear the sound of your breathing as you inhale and exhale. Shut your mind; let no other sound enter except the sound of your breathing. Take deep slow breaths and you’ll find your heartbeat slowing down and anger going away.
5. Involve yourself in some mental activity
The moment you find yourself angry, indulge yourself in some mental activity. Solve Sudoku, or some puzzle. And if you can’t find anything, simply close your eyes and start counting backwards by skipping one digit. Count in this manner, 100, 98, 96. Soon you’ll be busy with the activity and forget all about your anger.
