5 Myths about Children People Tend to Have
4. Children must not see parents fighting with each other
Well, it is impossible to run a household with a husband and wife not indulging in verbal arguments from time to time. The important thing to do is not to fight dirty, or use abusive words. Healthy arguments, such as which restaurant to have dinner at or what movie to watch, can make the children more involved and interested in family affairs and events.
5. Children will never make friends with parents
While it is impossible to become your child’s only best friend, it is okay for you to be in a friendly relationship with your kid. Share some of your childhood secrets and mischiefs and make sure your kids understand that you were a kid once too. However, you must also make sure that your kids will not simply overrule your decisions or take their freedom for granted. Be a friend to your child, but also be a parent. It is your duty to educate, discipline and mold your kids into responsible and sensible individuals.
