5 Interesting Things You Never Knew About IQ

4. IQ is not everything – Intelligence is relative

Are you gloating about the fact your child has scored a high IQ score? Don’t be too overjoyed! The reality is that intelligence is a relative thing. Experts suggest that IQ is not the be-all and end-all of a person’s qualities. IQ score doesn’t measure artistic ability, musical talent, emotional ability and other attributes that define life. Sure, you can go ahead and bask in high IQ scores, but sometimes, that may not mean a lot!

5. IQ scores can be used to build careers

Did your child score an average or a below average score in the IQ test at school? Don’t be disappointed – be happy! For what, you ask? Ladies, this is a highlighted indication of your child’s strengths and weaknesses. If he/she has done well in Logic but not in Linguistics – then that points to something significant. If your child has scored well in Creativity but not in Analytical reasoning, then that tells you something too, doesn’t it? How more direct can I be? The bottom line is – everyone is cut out differently. Use the IQ scores to judge the aptitude of your child so you can support, nurture and convert their talents into their careers.

IQ has always been extremely controversial and debatable. Some people strictly believe in these numbers and some people just hate to talk about it. However, you just can’t ignore the fact that across the globe, people measure intelligence according to this yardstick – fortunately or not!
