5 Family Christmas Vacation Ideas
Vacations are always a great way to spend time with your family and bond with them in ways that you probably won’t do when going about your daily life cooped up in the same house. And when it is Christmas and vacation together, it becomes an amazing and magical way to spend time with your family. As much as it sounds great to have a vacation during Christmas you must also understand that Christmas is probably the most difficult time to go on vacations. Flights are going to be full, the hotels are all going to be booked and you should also gear yourself for all the crowd that you will be encountering everywhere. There are also the increased fares for everything from the flight, food and the hotel rooms that you have to consider before you plan a Christmas vacation. Here are some family Christmas vacation ideas.
1. Drive someplace close if you do not have flight tickets
If you had not planned your vacation earlier and do not want to shell out the exorbitant prices that the airlines demand during Christmas, then come up with an alternate location where you can drive to with less fuss and pressure. Sometimes, the journey becomes more important and entertaining than the destination and you will sure get a lot of time with the family while driving than when you are inside a flight.
2. Visit family that you do not see much
A great Christmas vacation would be something that you spend with the extended family or just visiting family that you haven’t seen for ages. You can either go to them or you can invite them over to your place and make it a vacation for everyone.
3. Pick a place where it snows
Somehow we have grown up seeing images of Christmas with snow filled trees, sledges, reindeer and lots and lots of snow. So plan a vacation where you can see lot of snow and where the children can play around in the snow and make snowmen and snow angels.
