3. Clean and buff your nails
Buffing makes your nail smooth and glowing and allows your nail polish to go on smoothly. Using buffing block further helps your nail to get rid of ridges and discolored patches. After buffing your nails, it is even better to apply moisturizer to both your hands and nails as moisturizer hydrates your skin. 4. Paint
Always apply base coat before painting your nails as base coat strengthens your nails and makes your nail polish last longer. Moreover, apply nail polish only after your base coat dries off completely which takes only a minute or two.
