Upon arrival, they had $700 and her father had to resort to odd low-paying jobs to keep his daughter’s dream alive. Maria Sharapova has done more than living up to those dreams. Ranked No. 1, 4 times by the WTA, this Russian beauty has earned over $14 million in prize money alone. Mind you, Sharapova has also shown the good humanitarian side of hers by donating generously to charity and is a goodwill ambassador for the UN Development Program. And as icing on the cake, Sharapova has also done a six-page bikini shoot for ‘Sports Illustrated’ alongside 25 supermodels.
