15 Tips To Help Others In Small Ways
6. Give
Give away whatever you can whenever someone is in need. For example, if you have an extra pair of stockings that your little one’s nanny needs for her daughter’s annual day in school, give it. Don’t hesitate. The smile that will light up that little girl’s face will surely improve your mood.
7. Donate
Donate money, blood, essentials and whatever you feel like whenever you get a chance. If you can, also donate your eyes and other body parts after your death. You might give a new meaning to someone else’s life. You can also donate stuff that you don’t need anymore. This could include simple things like old newspapers. Some poor chap could collect them and make paper bags out of them, sell them and make money.
8. Teach
Teaching something to a person is also one of the good jobs that you can do. Instead of helping someone to get something, teach them how to get the desired stuff. This way, you will empower them with knowledge to make them independent. For example, if your old neighbor needs help to write her niece an email, don’t do it yourself. Instead, teach her to use the computer and send emails.
9. Comfort
When someone loses a special person, the most important thing he/she needs is comfort and warmth. Often, people fail to realize this need, making the person feel lonely. You could step up and comfort someone in need and if you can, even help them.
10. Tutor
Tutor a little one in your neighborhood or offer assistance to a young teenager with a subject you have an insight into. For example, if someone needs help with understanding core accounting principles, help him/her with that.
