14 Signs You’re Ready For A Relationship
Not knowing whether you are ready to commit to a new relationship, after a breakup or after being single for a while, is very common for women. How long does it take to get over someone or how long should you give yourself to think straight? Here are some signs that will tell you are ready for a relationship.
1. You are happy with yourself
First things first – you need to be happy with the way you are – full stop. Whether it is the way you look, the way you dress or the way you talk. If you love yourself for who you are, go ahead and find someone else to love. But don’t stop loving yourself!
2. You don’t get distracted
Well it is okay to keep having crushes once in a while but to get seriously distracted every now and then, with a new person, is a sign you are not ready yet. If you don’t get distracted, however, you know you will be happy with just one particular distraction.
3. You are okay with being single
If you feel your survival is dependent on whether you are in a relationship or not, you need to slow down. Give yourself time. If you are happy being single, then rejoice, you are ready to fall in love all over again.
4. You aren’t perpetually looking for love
You know what they say – love comes to those who don’t run after it. If you are not on the lookout, at least not all the time, it’s a sign!
5. You are over your ex-boyfriend
Thinking about your ex-boyfriend or dwelling on the past, will force you to make comparisons. Don’t! Remember, every individual is different. You know you are ready to enter a new relationship when you are completely over your ex.
6. You are high on confidence
A breakup can shatter your self-confidence. Gaining your confidence back is a sign that you are ready to make a new start.
7. You don’t have drastic mood swings
Mood swings are often related to unstable thoughts. If you can control your mood swings, you can control the emotions that your new relationship will stir, well most of them!
