6. Leave your chores on the side table
If you often think about chores before sleeping, then this could be one of the many reasons of you being sleepless. Take out some time and write down all your chores on a piece of paper. Plan the next day and cover all the chores in it. This will make you feel more relaxed.
7. Make your bedroom tidier
You really won’t be able to sleep well or on time if you have a messy room. If you have a side table then tidy it up. Make sure that you keep all the stuff inside the drawers of this table. Keep your bedroom neat and clean for a great sleep.
8. Avoid having tea or coffee with or after dinner
Tea has nicotine and coffee has caffeine. These things can keep you awake till late. Known to make people more alert, tea and coffee are perfect for those days when you have loads of chores to do and you are already feeling tired. So, leave tea and coffee for the morning or afternoon and don’t have them at night.
9. Stay away from work that needs alertness
Don’t check your e-mails at night. Avoid every such task which needs you to be alert. Once you have had the dinner, just use your time to tuck the kids in or to watch TV with your spouse. If you do any such task, it may make you take forever to go to sleep.
10. Set a snooze alarm
Use a snooze alarm and tell yourself in the morning, “I have to wake up now.” Snooze can really help you prepare your mind in the morning for the rest of the day.
