6. Manual focus is a boon

Manual focus works wonderfully for macro and close subjects. Blurring out unwanted details could be a great idea. It saves edit time and makes the subject in focus. Also lenses like 50 mm offer wonderful bokehs (aesthetic quality of blurs) which beautify the photograph.

7. Use RAW

Always shoot in RAW. The format gives you full size pictures, great quality and provides two stops of exposure. The format also allows better prints and non-destructive editing.

8. Edit

Color correcting, skin retouching is a must for your photos. Learning a basic to pro photo editing software could save time and get work done accordingly.

9. Maintain a picture library

Do not delete any of your pictures; maintain a photo library. Use photo library software, tag useful images with names, details and descriptions. A well-maintained library comes in a great use, for instance you could always sell images as per the client’s requirement.

10. The camera is your best friend

Never step out without your camera. You should be literary sleeping with it. If photography is your profession, then remember there are other photographers out there creating thousands of terrific pictures every second. Most importantly a moment out there is going uncaptured.
