10 Things To Do When You Are Bored
4. Learning a music instrument
If I had to pick one thing that I can find a moment of solace in, it’d be my guitar. Learning a musical instrument is a great hobby and probably the best gift you will give to yourself. Do you know why I say this? It’s because you will learn how to interact with a non-living thing. As crazy as it sounds, it’s true. Musicians make love to their instruments– it is a very intense and a passionate relationship. And hey, there is always the added benefit of impressing the cute guy in your neighbourhood with your sexy tunes!
5. Gardening
If you have friends who are into gardening, you will know that they treat their plants like their own babies. From what I know, gardening is a very satisfying experience. Don’t be put off if you don’t have a backyard or if you live in an apartment. There is always space for a small veggie patch or a few pots in the balcony. And the best part is that you have a massive variety of plants to choose from– flowers, trees, creepers, veggies and much more. Get those hands dirty!
6. Sewing
If you thought that sewing was something that only our grandmas did – get with the times! Like any other thing of the past which is in vogue, sewing is slowly gaining momentum. I have a friend who spends hours on that little machine of hers to make cute little sweaters, scarfs and even gloves. When I asked her why she likes sewing, she said, “When someone wears or puts on something that I sewed, it makes me feel that I’ve left an imprint on their lives” Her answer touched my heart and if you think that needles and cloth are your fancy, get the needles ticking.
