No matter how much you boast about your single status and the freedom that comes with it, you cannot escape the moments when your best friend comes hand in hand with her guy and you can’t stop feeling envious of them. Here is a list of such things which only couples can do and all the single ladies out there can’t.
1. Keep talking about their better half
If you are single and have a friend who is going out with a guy, you will know how right this statement is. Couples just can’t stop talking about their partners. “Do you know what he bought me yesterday?” “Do you know what he likes?” And this is only because they are so much in love.
2. Spend every minute together
You must have noticed how couples, especially those experiencing the initial days of romance, can’t get enough of each other. They spend every minute under the sun in each other’s arms. But you being single can only sit in a corner and watch in sadness or disgust, depending on which end of the romance spectrum you are in.
3. Have a common account
No, it is not just bank accounts but also all social networking accounts. One fine day, you will receive a friend request from “Mary loves Joseph” in Facebook with a dp of their widely grinning faces held close to one another. Now, the only option that single human beings have is to be weird and share an account with their pet.
4. Make out at the slightest pretext
You are sitting in a bar or café and out of the blue, you become an audience to a highly intimate PDA between the couple on the next table. It can be anywhere from pubs and movies to stadiums and parks. So there is a brighter side to being in a relationship after all.
5. Use pet names
Ever felt like smothering yourself when a couple you now keep calling each other “honey” and “cutie pie” and all other cheesy names you can think of? But could it be because deep in your heart, you too want a cutie pie of your own?
