6. Talent runs in his blood
Of course! Or else why would he have won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. His first nomination and award was as a supporting actor in 2005 for ‘Syriana’. He has been nominated a few times in the Best Actor category, including this year for his role as Matt King in ‘The Descendants’. Oh and we’ll be running out of space if we mention all the other awards that he’s won so far. He’s also directed four films till date.
7. He has a lovable dog story too
We bet you’ll be gushing after you hear this one. Okay, the story goes that while searching online for his quest for a house-trained dog, he stumbled upon Einstein. Yes, that was his already chosen name. He saw the dog’s video and instantly fell in love with him.
He called up and says, ‘I like Einstein!’
The woman at the other end responds with, ‘Well, we don’t know if Einstein will like you.’
‘Can I meet with Einstein?’
‘Yes, we’ll bring him to your house, but if he doesn’t like you, he can’t stay. We have to have good homes for these dogs.’
When they came to his house, he was so nervous that the dog won’t like him that he ran into the kitchen and rubbed turkey meatballs all over his shoes. As soon as he opened the door, the dog was at his feet! The woman was surprised with the dog’s behavior, but convinced that he liked George Clooney. Now, Einstein follows him everywhere and thinks of him as ‘the guy with meatball feet’.
8. He is a humanitarian
He is one of the United Nations Messengers of Peace since January 2008 and also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. His humanitarian work includes making documentaries for initiating awareness about international crisis, raising funds for the victims of 9/11, 2004 Tsunami and 2010 Haiti earthquake. So apart from being one of the most gorgeous men of Hollywood, he is also concerned about others welfare. Awww.
9. He stays away from makeup
It’s a rarity to see any actor without makeup on screen. But Mr. George Clooney here never ever wears makeup for his films or otherwise. The best part about it is that he still looks hot.
10. He treats everyone with respect
That can be seen with his encounters with fans and paparazzi alike. After all, you know how the paparazzi has the ability to get under someone’s nose easily. But George Clooney is immaculate and respectful towards them.
