6. You have the freedom of speech
When a child says something, it is never considered stupid, even if it actually is. Today however even if your mind is brimming with creativity, you’ll find yourself short of guts to open your mouth about it, lest others think you are stupid.
7. You have fewer enemies
How many times has it happened to you that something you said unintentionally hurt someone and sowed the seeds of perpetual enmity? It surely has happened to you at least once. Have you noticed, nobody really feels bad about anything a child says? So when you are a child, you don’t really have to worry about something you say being offensive to someone. You can go ahead and say that you hate old people, but the old lady in your neighborhood will only laugh about it. Also when you are a child, all your sins are forgiven. You can fight tooth and nail with your friend one day, yet behave like best friends the very next day. Grudges are the attributes of an adult. Hence when you are a child, you automatically tend to have fewer or zero enemies.
8. You ask for something, it’s yours
Most of you must have been pampered as children by your parents who would try their best to give you every little thing that you ever wanted. You like this Barbie doll, your Mom would make sure that she gets it for you as soon as possible. You want to take up Ballet lessons, your Dad would willingly sponsor for it. But today that you are all grown up, you are all by yourself. You want a designer dress, you got to work extra for it. You want to buy yourself a new car, you might have to sacrifice your other desires to collect sufficient cash.
9. Everybody loves a child
They truly do. As a child, you must have got a lot of ‘Aww’s and ‘So sweet’s, right? You neither needed the makeup nor did you require to put your best dress on. You were a child and that naturally got people attracted towards you. Today you might have to spend at least one hour grooming yourself so that somebody compliments you about the way you look.
10. Wounded knees are better than heartbreaks
Haven’t you heard of this saying before? You surely have! And how true it actually is! Everyone has experienced a heartbreak at some point in time or the other. We all know that it is one of the most painful things that can ever happen to someone. Wounded knees hurt so much lesser compared to heartbreaks. Wounded knees also heal so much faster than a broken heart. Sometimes a broken heart may take forever. But when you are a child, you probably wouldn’t even know what a broken heart actually is. One more valid and strong reason why childhood is better than adulthood!
All of this might make you just wanna run back to your childhood days, right? Well that might not be possible, but always remember it is never impossible to bring out the child still living in you out at least once in a while. Don’t be afraid to sometimes loosen up a bit, cut some slack and behave as crazy and as mischievous as a child. Have a lovely life.
