6. Must create unity among other team members
Team leaders must do well as well as encourage others to do well. They should know which team member is good at which task and accordingly assign work. Team leaders should also enhance the unity among the team members. If there are some issues between two members, then team leaders should take charge and resolve their differences. This will also help the team to progress without any problems.
7. Must have good communication skills
Of course, this is also one of the most important qualities required in a person to excel as a team leader. If someone doesn’t communicate well with their team, then how can they share ideas and resolve issues? Communication is the main ingredient necessary for brainstorming sessions too. If team leaders lack communication skills, there are also chances of misunderstandings arising within the team.
8. Must help others to succeed
Good team leaders are those who can help others to succeed as well. They should motivate their team members to excel in whatever they do. In other words, team leaders should be able to coach their team members to do well individually as well as a team member.
9. Must plan and organize
Leading others also requires a substantial amount of expertise at planning events, meetings,seminars, assignments, etc. But they should also be good in organizing these planned activities as well.
10. Must be responsible
Good leaders also have great responsibility on their shoulders; responsibility of their work, of the team. They should also be responsible for every action they perform and every decision they make. If ever they make a bad decision, they should not back off or deny making that decision.
