7 Health Tips for Women in Their 30s
The 30’s are the time when you’re living life to the full, juggling with a job, marriage and children. Still young but not so carefree! This is the time when you’re most likely to be hard pressed for time for yourself! It’s not easy to manage a house, spend quality time with your husband, attend to your children and manage your job. But it’s equally important that you find the time to develop some healthy habits and stick to those, as these will help you in staying healthy and attending to your varied activities.
1. Eat Food that is Healthy
Eating green leafy vegetables, fruits, cereals, lean/white meat as well as consuming plenty of water, milk and juices will make your body healthy, giving you the strength to meet the many demands of life.
2. Consume vegetables and fruits
Vegetables and fruits are a rich source of vitamins, minerals, potassium, calcium, folic acid, iron and phytonutrients. Researchers have found that a sufficient amount of folic acid for a year before pregnancy can avert a premature delivery and even prevent birth defects in the fetus! Vitamin D together with calcium lowers the risk of osteoporosis; potassium can prevent the onset of heart disease; while phytonutrients have been found to obstruct changes in the DNA, thereby preventing cancer and delaying the aging process.
3. Exercise Regularly
Try to exercise daily for at least half an hour, anything that you enjoy doing as exercise tones up the muscles, making you stronger.
4. Protect the Skin
We all have to face the elements of the weather; protect body and face with an umbrella, hat or sunglasses; keep the skin clean and moisturized; besides eating the right food– avoid fried foodstuff.
