9 Things to Remember Before Going for a Pool Party
6. Simple jewelry
Keep the jewelry very minimal in a pool party to avoid unnecessary rashes. Wearing gold, silver and other precious materials is a huge no-no because they could get undone and lost in the pool. Artificial jewelry will react with the chlorine in the pool and give you nasty rashes. If you really want, then wear a tiny pair of ear studs.
7. A change of sandals
This is another faux pas very commonly seen at pool parties. People wear one type of footwear when they come, not realizing they would need a spare pair of rubber sandals to walk around the pool in the watery area. Don’t forget to pack a change of sandals.
8. Well maintained fingernails
Besides your legs and hands, your fingernails will be on show in broad daylight for everyone to see. If you think that no one pays attention to such details, them you are quite mistaken for people do notice the cleanliness level of a person through their well maintained finger and toe nails. If you can’t go for a manicure or pedicure, then at least clip them, paint them and make sure they look clean.
9. Eyewear
Make sure you carry a pair of sunglasses to protect your eyes form the harsh sun rays. If you have a number, then using either glasses or contact lenses in a pool party would be akin to stupidity. Contact lenses would make your eyes red and itchy on reaction with the chlorine in the pool water. Your best bet would be to get swimming goggles made as per your number and when outside the pool you could use your normal glasses to see.
