4. Keep them involved
If your child’s nuisance comes in the way of your shopping or doing anything, plan ahead, and keep him/her involved. While leaving from home, give a small shopping list to your kids and assign them the job of finding some things at the grocery store. Play a game with them, and time them while they are looking for things. If they come back within the time limit given, get all the things, and manage to help you with no fuss, reward them and praise them.
5. Respect your child
One thing that all children like is to be treated like adults. You respect them, behave with them nicely, don’t slap or embarrass them in public, and they will return the favor by not throwing any tantrums. You give them the respect and love they need, and they will return that love and respect, along with discipline to you.
Needless to say, be calm and positive while handling your child. Keep your public visits short and quick, so the kids don’t feel bored and can come back home in a good mood. Take the help of your spouse, if need be, and take turns to take care of your child and keep him/her busy.
